Overview
HookVault is a private creator vault for saving and searching hooks, scripts, captions, content ideas, platform labels, draft/version notes, and optional image or video attachments. This policy explains what HookVault collects and how it is used.
Information We Collect
HookVault collects the information needed to provide the app:
- Email address for account creation, login, password reset, and account support.
- User ID and account metadata used to keep each user's vault separate.
- User-created vault content such as hooks, scripts/body text, captions, titles, ideas, platform labels, custom platform labels, and part/version labels.
- Images, photos, videos, and related media notes that you choose to attach to vault entries.
- Media metadata such as file type, file size, storage path, upload status, and entry association.
- Entry metadata such as created, updated, trashed, or deleted timestamps.
- Purchase and entitlement records needed to unlock Pro, Premium, Restore Purchases, and optional storage add-ons. Apple handles payment processing; HookVault does not collect full payment card details.
How We Use Information
We use this information to let you sign in, save entries, search your private vault, attach media, edit entries, move entries to Trash, restore entries, back up your vault, enforce storage and file-size limits, restore purchases, delete accounts, and provide support.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell user data.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not track users across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- HookVault only requests photo library, camera, or microphone access when you choose to add or record media.
- HookVault does not request contacts or location permissions.
Service Providers
HookVault uses Supabase for authentication, private database storage, media storage, account deletion, and entitlement support. HookVault uses Apple App Store services for in-app purchases, subscription handling, purchase history, and Restore Purchases.
Backups And Restore
Backup export is user-initiated and saves or shares a JSON file using the device's system save sheet. A backup may include vault text, labels, media notes, and media file references or metadata. Large image and video files are stored in Supabase and are not embedded inside the JSON backup file. Restore reads a user-selected JSON file and imports entries after confirmation.
Data Deletion
Signed-in users can delete their account and saved vault data inside HookVault from Settings. Account deletion removes the HookVault account data we control, including saved entries, media records, and stored image or video files associated with the account. Apple purchase history and App Store subscription management are handled by Apple. If you cannot access your account, visit Account Deletion or contact support@hookvault.com for help.
Content Safety Note
Please do not save sensitive personal, financial, legal, medical, or confidential client information in HookVault.
